HE'S LOOKING FOR FUN
Deadstream is a hilarious comedy horror from real-life couple Vanessa and Joseph Winter. The film is a unique satire of social media influencers and the found footage genre, combining elements from Patrick Brice and Mark Duplass's Creep and Sam Raimi's Evil Dead II.
After a controversy over a failed stunt, disgraced internet personality Shawn Ruddy (Joseph Winter) decides to win back his fans by live-streaming a night alone in a haunted house, known locally as Death Manor. But when he accidentally encounters the malevolent spirit Mildred Pratt (Melanie Stone), his big comeback turns into a real-time and very public fight for his life.
With stunning practical effects and creature designs by Troy Larson, this fast-paced and chaotic journey into a hellish Halloween night delivers plenty of blood and laughter – all led by an exceptionally lively and charismatic lead performance by co-writer/director Joseph Winter.
