When young Riley is forced to leave her life in the Midwest and move to San Francisco, her emotions - Joy, Love, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness - come into conflict with each other as she tries to navigate a new city, a new house, and a new school.
From the imaginative hearts of Disney Pixar comes a blockbuster film about unprecedented love. Have you ever looked at someone and wondered what's going on inside their head? Disney Pixar's Inside Out takes us on an imaginative journey into the mind to find the answer. In Headquarters, the control centre for 11-year-old Riley's mind, five characters work hand in hand under the leadership of the bright optimist Joy. She strives to make sure Riley stays happy while working alongside her colleagues Riley, Anger, Disgust and Sadness.

Riley
Riley's main job is to protect Riley and keep her safe. He is constantly on the lookout for potential disasters and spends his time investigating possible dangers, pitfalls and risks in Riley's everyday life. There are many activities and events that Riley does not consider dangerous and potentially life-threatening.
Disgust
Disgust is very strong, extremely irritable and prevents Riley from becoming physically and socially toxic. She keeps a close eye on the people, places and things Riley comes into contact with, whether it's broccoli or the latest fashions.
Ilska
Ilska is passionate about making sure everything is right for Riley. He has a hot temper and tends to explode (literally) when things don't go as planned. He reacts slowly and has little patience for life's imperfections.
Happiness
Joy's goal has always been to make sure Riley is happy. She is bright, optimistic and determined to find the fun in every situation. Joy sees the challenges in Riley's life as opportunities, and the less happy moments as small obstacles on the road back to something wonderful. As long as Riley is happy, Joy is too.
Sadness
None of the other characters really understand what Sadness' role is. Sadness would like to be more optimistic and helpful in order to keep Riley happy, but she finds it difficult to be positive. Sometimes it seems like the best thing you can do is just lie on the floor and cry.
